UOW Scholars Profile

Izzah Afandi received the BE (Hons) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia in 2013. She completed her PhD at the same university in 2020 with a thesis titled 'Integrated Volt/Var in Distribution Networks'. Her research interests include modelling and analysis of distribution systems, power quality in distribution networks and active distribution networks. Her work with the Australian Power Quality & Reliability Centre as an Associate Research Fellow focussed on power quality and voltage management in distribution networks with high penetration of distributed generation, including development of a flexible LV network modelling tool to compare efficiency of different solutions to manage voltage issues in LV networks.

Izzah currently works for TransGrid in network planning.
